Snowed In?

I can't remember the last time my son had a full week of school? - Before Christmas break perhaps? 

Today I made some peanut butter cookies and got the recipe from the Weight Watchers website.  The recipe called for some chunky peanut butter and I didn't have any on hand so I made my own with the food processor.  Another ingredient it called for was whole grain wheat flour?  I used some white whole wheat flour (all the nutrition of 100% whole wheat but less dense like white flour).  I tripled the cookie recipe, baked a dozen and put the rest of the dough in the freezer (I'm hoping my husband doesn't go to crazy with the frozen dough and leaves me some to actually bake for the boys on another day).

For exercise I may try to get a workout in at home during nap time.  I have a Jillian Michael's 30day
Shred
 just for days like today when I can't get out.  It's a 20 minute highly concentrated workout. 

In closing if you are trapped at home with kids I wish you lots of cookies (only the ones you have self control being around of course), crafts, deep breaths and patience.  - a little exercise I have found will also help blow off some steam :-)

Weight Watchers vs. Jillian Michael's

It's been a little over 3 years (January 2010) since I started my weight loss journey. I reached my goal weight in May of 2011 (135 lbs). Since then it's been a yoyo and my trend had been going up over the last several months. My current weight is 150 lbs (I was 155 but lost 5lbs over the last few weeks). Healthy Boundaries?

Growing up I always felt like I had to 'do what I was told' or else. A lot of what I learned as a child in terms of relationship bonds and my place in the world is mirrored in my adult relationships. It's taken me many years to figure what my mirror is showing me both good and bad.

I'm guessing many woman (not all) have felt the pressure to conform to others expectations and at the same time not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings or risk being seen as uncooperative. The price woman have paid over the decades has been insurmountable. I think of the mom on Leave It To Beaver, and how woman either bought into or felt that's what they should aspire to. Later on in television was the Mary Tyler Moore Show. The show was about a single woman in her thirties working at a TV station. Mini Blizzards

Genius


Mini blizzards are great when you want something sweet on occasion but don't want to kill yourself with tons of calories (there are still more calories in a mini blizzard compared to a cup of carrot sticks however).  This PB cup Mini Blizzard was perfect size and hit the spot.
