Resolute

TGIF it's Friday and Fourth of July Weekend!  BTW if you are a SAHM or a Mom that doesn't have a lot of meaning.  There is no time clock and Saturday is the same as Monday (in the summer months) only you do get more family day trips in on the weekend and family time (and hopefully a date night in the mix somewhere). 

My official weigh day is Monday morning as it has been since I started this journey (I figure if I weigh in on Monday mornings it will help keep me honest on the weekends with my eating).  Tuesday nights is my Weight Watchers meeting and my weigh in with them.  My plan for this week (since Tues night) is to eat my daily points and try to not use my extra points.  Why? you may ask.  Because I'm determined to lose weight this week for a second week in a row.  I'm tired of 'running in place' on the scale and I need to change that.  I've been 'yoyoing' up and down by 2 lbs for many, many, many, many weeks.

Warrior Dash

Yesterday and today was the Warrior Dash New England.  I ran it yesterday ( I use the term ran loosely) with a great group of ladies.  We dressed in anything that resembled 80's themed dress.  I painted a T- Shirt with fluorescent paint and the number 78 to celebrate the amount of weight I have lost since starting this journey.



This race was an adventure to say the least.  The race course takes place over mostly steep terrain that goes up a slope through the woods then into a field and then it's down hill at the very end.  It's a 5k with obstacles along the way and did I mention mud?  Yes mud.  I knew mud would be involved on some level but I had no idea it was going to be anywhere from your ankle up to your knees at any given moment of time for the ENTIRE 3.2 MILES. To prepare for the mud we were given some advice to duct tape our shoes on and I'm glad we did!  There were many people who lost a shoe in the mud and had to finish with one shoe missing.
