Rocked 5.27 miles at 8 am

5.27 miles in 56 minutes. Run 5/ walk 1. I must say it was the toughest run by far (do to lack of company and distance).  I ran this solo and it was in the high 30's and a little bit windy.  I give props to people who run solo every day.  I can honestly say I don't know if I could do this by myself all the time.  My running crew had allot going on today.  It was the start of T Ball, some where sick, some had husbands out of town and one was recovering from a surgery.  I had on a full length pair of running tights (size xs :-) that suited me well and some knit gloves to keep my hands warm ( I warmed up after the first 1 1/2 mile).  What you see is what you get for what I was wearing for a shirt.


Tuesday night I had my WW meeting and I of course new the scale would read a + for lbs (my weigh in on Monday was a + )  After the meeting I needed to go to the grocery store.  It was nice being able to walk around the store with hardly anyone there and no kids in tow.  Usually when I'm in the store with my kids I try to get in and out as quietly and calmly as possible with my sanity in tact (which can be difficult as if you have children I'm sure you can relate).  While in the store (ok before I got in the store) I was not in a great mood and was feeling pretty angry and frustrated with myself for the weight gain.  I said to myself you know what I'm going to get what ever I want in the store because I don't care!  I did set some boundaries in my mind that it couldn't be a bag of something. It could only be a serving of something or contain small prepackaged servings (much like the evil elf cookies I had a week ago).  I did have somethings on my list that I needed

Food Finds - Peanut Butter

A few weeks ago at one of my WW meetings a member mentioned PB2.  They said that there was very few points for this type of PB.  I LOVE peanut butter so I decided to check it out.  In short I LOVE this product! PB2 is powdered peanut butter and while some stores carry it I decided to purchase it on line from Bell Plantation's website (the company that makes this product).  On the label it reads: "peanuts are first slow roasted then pressed to remove the fat and oil." To make the powder into peanut butter you add 1TB of water to 2TB of PB2 (powdered peanuts).  For texture this is a little bit less stick to your mouth than regular peanut butter HOWEVER if you add a little less water than directed you can get the same stick to your mouth feel as regular peanut butter.  For peanut butter I typically purchase Teddy Brand Unsalted smooth.  This is pretty darn close to it.  The only down side is there is some added salt and sugar.  What I find funny is Teddy Brand PB has .

Food Finds - Tortillas

I wanted to share this food find.  I was in the grocery store and saw these wraps in the deli.  They are La Tortilla Factory brand.  I used my ww points plus calculator to see what the points value would be (the words low carb were on the label).  For a small tortilla it is 1 ww points plus (a perfect size to stuff with egg whites for breakfast).  For the larger tortilla it's 2 ww points plus (perfect for a sandwich wrap or a personal size pizza).  I'm looking forward to trying these out. I'll keep you posted on what I think of them.  For exercise today I did some cross training ( 20 minutes elliptical, 20 minutes bike and 30 mins weight training) and I don't feel sore at all.  Tomorrow I'm schedule to run 3.5 miles and it's weigh day.  I hope it's a minus!
